PHASE ONE: ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
In this first phase, we need to understand what we are doing to ourselves and bring the process into conscious awareness. We need to become aware of our behaviour and understand how it perpetuates itself. Acknowledgement of our actions is the first step in our recovery. In this section we will realize that we can live in alignment with who we naturally are and don't need to suffer, struggle or do anything other than this to live in harmony with our appetites, our bodies and ourselves.
PHASE TWO: SELF-ACCEPTANCE
The only way that we can start on an upward spiral is to change our internal psychological state. The difference between spiraling up and spiraling down is the presence or absence of positive thoughts which can only be achieved through self-acceptance. In this section we will see that the promise not to turn against ourselves is the most important commitment we can make.
PHASE THREE: ALLOW
Once we create a positive psychological playground surrounding food and eating, we will be able to stop the conscious mind from focusing on food. In the absence of this conscious distraction, the feelings that we have buried will be ALLOWED to surface.In this section we will see that allowing ourselves to feel is the most courageous act we can engage in.
Once we RE-ALIGN ourselves with our natural appetite, and deal with our destructive emotions, we can arise to a higher, more satisfying way of being.
